the author: Ruth

Ruth has loved to write for as long as she remembers, whether it was a fun short story about a pirate who encountered a mummy or writing multiple unpublished manuscripts. No matter the topic, Ruth dives into things 110% and gives it her all.

Grace and progress started out of a desire to create an easy online community of women to meet each other and connect. That idea morphed into a blog and Instagram community that you see today.

Ruth encountered many challenges and trauma from a very young age but daily presses toward growth, and healing in all areas. The concept of Grace and Progress came from seeing that people were not speaking HONESTLY about the issues and challenges Christians are faced with today. There are plenty of pleasantries or Christian cliches, but none of them give you true workable and development steps to walking out your faith authentically.

Grace and Progress was then born. A place where honesty, authenticity, and transparency met the ever-present Love and Grace of Jesus. Ruth believes that every day we have the opportunity to either grow and learn from Jesus or repeat the day before.

 Stepping into a relationship with Jesus has been the most challenging but incredibly beautiful journey Ruth has taken, and she wants to share that journey, honestly, with every woman who wants to feel connected to, encouraged, and seen.
